I had a sorta similar thing happen. I had a girl invite me to a outdoor concert and I wasn't a big fan of the music but I figured sure, why not? We had good conversation going and then she went to the bathroom and never came back. I had to awkwardly pick up my lawn chairs and walk away. The people behind me picked up on what happened and offered to let me sit and drink beer with them but I just wanted to get out of there.
Turns out she mostly just wanted a ride and ditched me for her friends. Some people are just assholes.
I liked a girl in high school. She wanted to go to Ozzfest. I asked her to go, I bought the tickets, drove 45mins to her house, picked her up, 30 mins to concert, parked, got in. The instant we got in, she made a phone call. Suddenly, her ex boyfriend met up with "us". I quote "us" because he just talked to her and she only talked to him, basically ignoring me the entire time. I might as well have been there alone. I confronted her about it afterward and she got pissed off and called me a baby.
