HOAs are literally one of the stupidest fucking inventions that have ever been created.
"Say, I don't get enough of having to answer to somebody else when I'm at work, why don't I make a situation where I can do it at home, but instead of answering to somebody who earned their position of power, at home I'll just choose whichever stay at home spouse is the loudest? We once lived somewhere where the HOA had a meeting bc our kids at the time were like 2 and 5 drew a couple scribbles in chalk on the sidewalk outside our home. I mean a literal couple scribbles/squiggly lines not like a giant nuisance of a picture either.
