Dany legitimized a serious contender for the throne, som of the king who oversaw the last long era of peace and prosperity in the kingdom, one who grew up with the poor and understands their plight and could leverage that support... and Tyrion said it was a smart decision for Dany to do it...
Remember when they went on a trip north of the wall to capture a whight and then Gendry ran several hundred miles in a few hours to go get Danny who brought her dragons and then the Night King stole one of those dragons to take down the wall and invade the south and they took the kidnapped whight to Cersi to convince her to help but she refused and then none of that mattered because they defeated the Night King in one episode with barely an inconvenience? God this show sucked.
