Whether abortions will be performed or not isn't the real question: It's whether SAFE abortions will be performed or not.

Remember when rich Republicans tried to cut food stamps because they cherry picked a Bible verse saying that if you don't work you shouldn't eat?

That's because rich people have the belief that poor people deserve to be poor because they're inherently bad people that did it to themselves being born poor

This isn't an abortion issue specifically, we have a crazy dichotomy between procreation and adoption.

You're a terrible parent with no means to raise your kids and want to bring more into the world to suffer? Please, have 10 kids, and it's taboo for anyone to say anything but "congratulations"

You're a good person that wants to make life better for an already existing kid stuck in foster care? Please go through 2 years of extensive scrutiny about every part of your life to prove you're perfect and pay us out the ass and maybe, maybe we'll let you have a kid at some point.

We're way too lax about procreation (I'm not saying we should license it, but we should stop fucking acting like it's some great miracle and totally socially acceptable when people have kids they shouldn't) and way too strict on adoption.
