I personally want to continue doing remote work but to say those that don't are lying and that "no one wants to go back to the office" is disingenuous. Pretty sure that there are those out there that live in cramped apartments or who are tired of being trapped in a house with their kids and spouse that view interacting with other professionals in an office as a much needed respite

Most private companies seem to be openly embracing telework and even the federal government, which has historically been slow to embrace change, has begun posting more full-time remote job announcements.

I also notice that she is a "writer" so I'm not sure how reliable her sourcing is when it comes to taking the temperature of corporate organizational attitudes towards remote work

I know several that want to go back in. Some live alone, and that's a lot of alone. Some want to go back for the chit-chat, gossip and lunch dates. Many want to spend some time with actual grownups. Others know that they simply can't focus, keep a schedule, and be healthy without a required routine.

Working from home is great. I've been doing it for 10 years, but it definitely has its own challenges.
