In my junior year of high school, I was hauled out of the middle of class, walked to the parking lot and asked to explain why I had a rifle in my car and why I shouldn't be suspended for bringing a gun to school. It was a toy musket from Disneyland. This was 1990.
I got in trouble in 2nd grade for bringing a marshmallow gun and a nerf gun to school over a long weekend to play with my friend. A teacher was preparing for something saw us on the playground and came over yelling. The next school day we got pulled into the hallway and were given letters for our parents.
The worst part is that during an assembly they had marshmallow guns as a prop in a game for students to play.

Until he decided one of his students having a fallout new vegas poster with a revolver on it was grounds to talk to the principal about it.
