Lol, this reminds me of my cheap boomer neighbor's quest to have a huge diseased oak tree removed from his yard. He thought the $3000 quote from a reputable tree service, was highway robbery. So he went and hired day laborers that had zero experience for $600 to do the job in winter. Not only did these workers damage his roof, gutters and sidewalks badly. They sent the tree into power lines caught the tree on fire, and took out the electricity for an entire square city mile for 6 hours. The resulting costs and fines totaled more than $10,000 by the time it was finished.
The lesson to employers is that if you pay crap wages you get crap employees.
I was once offered a whole 24 pack of soda to powerwash my neighbor's entire house. I politely declined and she actually glared at me... WTF is wrong with people. Here's the kicker, she got the case for free from an employee of the soda company that she is married to.
