From offender to Doctor. One of my oldest friends just earned his Doctorate of Education May 2021. After several years in prison from a young age he's been helping incarcerated and former incarcerated people for years, currently a re entry specialist. Never too late to take a different path!
Too bad others don't share that mindset my father in law is an ex-con, petty theft, who can't find a job that isn't landscaping because once they see he's a con, they pass him up. Was literaly 20 years ago, still can't catch a break.
Unfortunately too many people deny ex-convicts employment even if they have a degree. Society expects ex-convicts to become reformed but make it impossible for them to find a decent job.
