One of the sweetest things I've ever read. 🥺 My grandpa used to tell me the same thing! That the beautiful brown moths we saw was my grandma coming to check on me. It gave me so much joy because she died before I was born.

An old colleague once told me that before his father died, he was fascinated by owls.

The day after his fathers funeral my colleague and his mother were sat in their garden and a large white barn owl landed right between them in broad day light, sat there for a couple of minutes then flew off.

He said that he and his mother never spoke about it, just looked at each other and smiled.

My mom died in 2011 and yesterday it randomly stabbed me right in my feelings and I had a good cry. I sent an email to her telling her how much i miss her and asked, if she's able to do so at all, to give me a sign she's still with me so i have some comfort that she knows how much I regret being a total asshole so often growing up. A couple hours later i went through some old pics of my mom and found a tiny notepad diary she kept when i was around 2. I've skimmed over it before a bit, but this time the page i opened to said, "I love her dearly, she's my sweet baby girl. (my name),I hope you read this one day, and know that I'll always love you." I'm still in disbelief but it's the most comfort I've felt in years.

Edit : Thanks for the awards guys, you didn't have to. If anyone is needing reassurance, I'll share the photo of my mom's entry if you dm me. I know the story sounds almost unbelievable.
