That would be my reaction. I’m asthmatic and that shit is scary. A friend of mine actually has mild brain damage due to asthma induced hypoxia.

Is there anything that we can do if we see someone having an asthma attack, other than calling an ambulance ?

My uncle was shot and killed in the street a few years ago. Unfortunately he didn't make it, but there were a few amazing and brave people who immediately sprang into action to help. A teenager, a freaking TEENAGER, took off his own shirt without hesitation and wrapped it around my uncle to try to stop the bleeding. Imagine how scary that situation is to be in, especially being that young and most likely never seen anything like that before, and still was able to act as a hero. These kinds of people are those "helpers" that Mr. Rogers was once telling us about to look out for. They should be treated with respect and honor like the heroes they truly are. I'll never forget that kid. Ever. Whenever I think the world is becoming a shitty place, I always think about those people who sprang into action to help. There's really good people in this world.
