Children shouldn’t be in the hospital. As a nurse I could never work in pediatrics. I would cry myself to sleep every day

This will be a bit random but ... As a grown adult who, as an infant, had 4 open heart surgeries, be ready for swimming and swim lessons to be difficult. I spent my pool dwelling childhood in a t-shirt. I refused to swim unless I had a shirt on. I was constantly ... questioned about the scars. Not teased, made fun of or bullied but stared at and questioned. It made me uncomfortable and my solution was to always swim with a shirt on. The questioning of my wearing a shirt was easier than answering for the scars.

It may or may not be a factor for you in the future but as a child the struggle was real.

Edit: My inbox blew up. OP ... I had no idea these "Rash Guards" exist. Apparently they are practical and 'stylish' or can at least be customized to your daughter's personal style. As a guy who didn't have this option, it sounds like a phenomenal option.
