I refuse to order food from these delivery apps. Like by the time you get a $8 meal, you’re left with a $24 bill. It’s ridiculous. I just don’t know who has the funds for this kind of luxury
My coworker’s daughter drives for Uber eats. She says she often gets paid $6 to deliver a single milkshake. So...that plus whatever Uber charges and keeps on top of the price of the milkshake.
Another reason to refuse to use apps like this is they inflate prices. I was trying to order Chinese, and I thought the bill was higher than normal, so I checked the actual restaurant menu and they basically added $2 to every menu item. And charged delivery. And a service fee. And also didn't mention this.
