Even though my college courses are held over zoom it’s so apparent that the students don’t give a sh*t. It’s annoying when the course work requires us to work together
I remember sitting in class in university and this one girl would not stop talking. She was talking quietly, just barely over a whisper but in a quiet classroom, you could hear it and it was distracting. Finally the prof stopped mid-sentence, looked straight at her and said, "Could you....shut up?" It was amazing.
I had a class that was right before an exam and these two people in front of me just kept talking and I could not hear the professor at all. I had already asked them twice to quiet down and was getting so frustrated. It was also a lecture hall of 300 people so the professor hadn't noticed. I was so annoyed because the exam was going to be 40% of our final grade and I just wanted to hear the review. It was obvious that everyone in the area was getting annoyed and frustrated with the situation. So I crumpled paper and pelted the back of one of the girl's head, she looked back at me shocked and I just gestured to the professor. The kicker is that attendance was never taken and didn't count for anything, so there was literally no reason for them to be there and cause that much disruption. Probably one of the most gutsy things I did in a class but I had more anxiety about the exam than the two girls in a giant lecture hall being annoyed with me.
