Albina mali-hočevar was a Slovenian resistance fighter who faught for the liberation of Yogoslavia from the Fascists and the Nazis, She was undoubtedly the most badass Slovenian ever caught on camera. This photo was taken in 1945.
She joined the people's liberation movement right after the Axis occupation of Yogoslavia in 1941 at the age of 16, she was wounded twice at 17, she was wounded again by an exploding mine three days after her 18th birthday, she continued fighting and working as nurse for the rest of the war, she died in 2001 at the age of 75.
