At this point, he was the furthest person from earth. That's insane.

I'm guessing only the crew of apollo 13 have been further away during their gravity maneuver.

Just surreal to think he was the only human on his side of the camera. Every human being, dead and living, sits before him and is captured in one single picture. One of my favorite photos EVER!
