I did this once at home when I was a kid. My older brother dropped one when loading dishes once and it didn’t break so he tells me it’s a brand that doesn’t break. I was amazed. Then one day I’m showing my little brother when it’s my turn to unload dishes about these cool unbreakable plates, then dropping one to demonstrate to him and it shattered into a bajillion pieces. I felt real stupid that day as my little brother was laughing at me then later that day my older brother finds out what I did and now he’s clowning me.
For years in my shop I would bounce glass pipes off of cinder block to show the durability of locally blown stock. Only had 2 ever break. No glass is unbreakable, but well made borosilicate will take a lot of bounces.
