I got an $8,000 bill from the same hospital for a minor ankle fracture.

I demanded itemized bills for each of my last two surgeries because I refused drugs they brought in and wanted to make sure they weren’t scamming me.
Took eighteen months but I got a letter writing off the entire balance as a “charitable act”.
This is my go-to for any further hospital visits.
