Maybe hydropower doesn't need a lot of lands, but it needs very specific kind of land and it destroys it. In many countries, we have basically used all the viable placed for hydro, and that meant to flood entire valleys, discharge freezing cold water in warm lakes killing entire ecosystems, and sometimes causing irreversible damage to mountains.
Hydro plants caused a lot of deaths because of flooding (intentional or not) and for structural failures (see the Vajont dam).

Its missing some other categories like waste, raw materials and other measures of environmental damage and health hazards.
