Was in Tokyo few years ago. Planned a few trips and everything looked so close, yet maps was saying it would take 2 hrs using direct train transportation, no stops. Once you're there it is that you realize how massive Tokyo is.

The sprawl is insane to view in person. From the top floor observation deck of the Tokyo Skytree (450m/1480ft), you still cannot see the city’s edge in any direction.
