My kids are young and one just came up to his first state exam. He does well in school and doesn't rly get nervous about things in general, but was super anxious because the teachers are talking it up so they understand its a serious test that can have serious consequences if they don't do their best.
He still had homework each night before the exams.
Edit: I realize they aren't a life defining. I mention for the kids. Just giving context for why my son was worried for probably the first time in his life.
It's okay when you have one teacher assigning a night's worth of homework. But when you have multiple teachers assigning a night's worth of homework...
