Texas Senate Bill 1646 would brand the parents of trans children as “child abusers” if they support their kids.

Parents could face jail time and have their children taken away if the bill passes.

Despite overwhelming evidence that supporting a trans kid is better for their mental and physical health, Texas Republicans are willing to sacrifice “personal freedom” for government regulation.

Related: Arkansas governor urges Republicans to send a “message of compassion” to trans people.

This bill in Texas, SB1646, would remove trans kids from their homes if a parent affirms their gender.

“Each provider plays a role in ensuring the health of the child based on established standards of care and the peer-reviewed medical literature.”.

These benefits are also supported overwhelmingly by the medical literature and highly respected pediatric organizations including the Texas Pediatric Society, American Academy of Pediatrics, and Pediatric Endocrine Society. »

At times it may seem evident that this person doesn’t know what they are talking about, however, they appear to be blissfully unaware of their ignorance.

To test the Dunning-Kruger effect on intuitive thinking, researchers used the “cognitive reflection test” (CRT) developed by Yale professor Dr. Shane Frederick. »

Johnson & Johnson Vaccinations Paused After Rare Clotting Cases Emerge

Authored by nytimes.com

Scores of vaccine appointments were canceled this week, and some public health officials feared that by fueling vaccine hesitancy and conspiracy theorists, the pause could prompt fewer Americans to get vaccinated — and expose them to far more risk.

Dr. Schuchat said the pause was enacted partly to “prepare the health care system to recognize and treat patients appropriately.”.

At the news conference, Dr. Marks drew a link between the two vaccines, saying the clotting cases were “very, very similar.” »
