I waited at a decent steak house for a few years in my early 20’s. Most of us avoided working Sunday’s as the church folk were rude as hell and tipped like shit. Our manager caught onto this so she started a rotation where you must work 2 sundays a month. I hated those days and those people.
I worked in an Applebees in 2006 and I hated Sundays. I usually was always put down for doubles (I did host stand and to-go). They were super impatient with the wait times (it's always peak hours in the South on Sundays because the services let out at different times); hated the table they got (even though it was the only free table to accommodate them without double or triple seating a server), and oddly, were super judgy that I don't attend church.

Our small town pizzeria closes on Sunday for this very reason. "Sometimes all the money isn't worth all the entitlement" was their reasoning.
