If you're a civilian and you've had any firearms training, you know one of the first things they teach you is that you don't discharge a firearm at someone unless you are willing to hit whatever is behind them. You are taught that if you accidentally shoot a bystander who is behind your target, that you are still criminally liable for killing the bystander. This is gun training 101.
And yet a cop can fire his gun into a crowded room because he thought he saw a perp run in there, and walk away with not even a slap on the wrist.
WHY THE FUCK ARE CIVILIANS HELD TO A HIGHER STANDARD OF CONDUCT THAN THE POLICE
