60 years of human spaceflight, its crazy. Now sure the optimism of the early days and people believed we would have space colonies at this point.

But frankly it was perhaps a bit rushed in those early days. Safety is better today and hell we have had permanently had humans in space for 20 years.

With new launch vehicles and pretty rad projects and return to the moon and beyond we'll get there.

Slightly unusual recommendation for this but I absolutely love The Race for Space by Public Service Broadcasting. The track Gagarin is particularly good, already got its on!
