What's most annoying is the argument that ANYTHING discovered and/or invented belongs to a certain nationality, ethnicity, etc (because the entirety of human knowledge and technological advancement has always been strictly limited to arbitrary definitions of peoples and borders, right?): as though as a species we aren't all standing on the shoulders of giants from throughout Time and from all over the globe.
