I am a part time seamstress now and I rescued a silky terrier years ago, she is still with me being a pain in my butt, but when I got her I was definitely not the little dog type.
Then I read that silkies are ratters who kept the women who did industrial fabric weaving safe from rats and kept them warm in horrid working conditions. Turns out I am a little dog person after all.
