This scene hits different when you know that Tony goes on to save the Universe. Dr Yinsen’s sacrifice is one of the most influential moments in the MCU. Through just one degree of separation Yinsen stopped Thanos and would never know it 👏
Yes I pondered this a lot after endgame. Thought it was an amazing character arc. One of the best developments and completions of a character I've ever seen.
When you really think about it, Tony's short friendship with Yinsen had a huge impact on Tony's character development, as well as many of his future actions.
This movie perfectly embodies the saying "Depth of friendship does not depend on length of aquaintance" -- meaning you don't have to know a person for a long time for them to have a positive impact on your life.
