I totally agree with the sentiment in this tweet but it is important to know how roads are funded.
While this does not solve the issue brought up by the tweet imma take this moment to say support your local businesses. While roads are obviously used to get them goods too, at least the resources (roads) are used by multiple local businesses rather than one company (Amazon) bringing you all your goods.

And if you enjoy not having to teach your employees to read or other basic skills, funding the schools is probably a worthy investment.
