My mother is a 25 year survivor. She was given 5 years. Coincidentally she got a new prosthetic breast every 5 years. Recently to celebrate her 25th year survival, we took her “big box of boobies” as she called them and mailed them to a prosthetic donation center.
As a kid a friend of mine wanted to be Quasimodo for Halloween. My mother helped him tape one of her prosthetics to his back for the hunchback.
My mother was a social worker at a retirement home. A man grabbed the prosthetic so hard it came out of the pocket in her bra. She told him that’s what happens when you aren’t considerate to women. Man had Alzheimer’s and needed 24 hour care but never touched another woman inappropriately.
When I was a young girl my mother was catcalled in a Costco (weird huh). “Nice tits” the guy says. She pulled the prosthetic out and said “thanks. Want one?”
Life has so much beauty in it. Every one of us has so much beauty. Use your beauty. You’re beautiful.
Now I don’t recommend offering the prosthetics to random men at Costco but go have fun.
Edit: I never thought a post about my mother’s breasts would get any awards but thank you kind people. I now get the pleasure of fully explaining Reddit and the rewards system to my mom. LOL. She says thank you too.
I call them my lick and sticks! 😂😂. And I have a weapon to throw at anyone who gets too close! Thank you so much guys! It’s been a long hard road! But I’m here! ❤️💋
My mom has one and she always uses it...it was really expensive when she got it, but I think a local women's bc group helped her with it and the wigs she got.
She was so self conscious about the wig the first time that she didn't want to wear it when she went out that I wore a chin length bob cut to the supermarket with her the first time and walked around with her...as a 17yo boy.. 0 fucks, and ride or die for mom lol.
She's still here, stage 4 in 1996, she just turned 65 2 weeks ago. Hang in there, you'll be fine 🙂
E- thanks for all the awards, hopefully they're from free coins, go buy your mom some flowers instead lol
