What if they're one of those characters we see in Sci-Fi movies where they're from another plain of existence and they're scouring all the self help books to learn about us, dropping books as they speedily learn and begin to hate us?
As a librarian, just come to the library if you’re going to pull that shit. I have zero love when people do this in bookstores.
At libraries, you can read the book and take it home for free. And we have carts where you can put the books on and we will re-shelve them for you. That sure as hell beats people putting them back wherever.
It is annoying in a library, sorta, but there are librarians and pages who genuinely enjoy being in the stacks all day. They can put headphones on and disappear into the stacks for hours.
