Here's a story for ya. I was injured at work in July, something got hurt in my back while lifting. Due to Covid, and a "computer glitch" I didn't get to see a doctor for several weeks. I couldn't work, too much pain, so I was unemployed for a while. Lost my work insurance, and now workmans comp dropped me without proper treatment, and forced me back to work with an untreated injury.

So, now I am working only 3 hours a day, a few days a week. That doesn't cover rent, food, etc.

My savings and such will be gone soon, then I am not sure what I am going to do.

Edit: I initially saw my chiropractor when I got hurt. He determined I needed other help, and referred me to another doctor, this is what took weeks to go through.

Edit 2: The chiropractor visit was suggested to me by whom, I dont remember. What I think happened is that WC considered it my 1st doctor, and thus the orthopedic doctor my 2nd opinion.

A cording to WC the delays were caused by a computer problem, ransomware, as well as being slowed due to Covid.

I will lawyer up, and figure out what's happening.

Thank you all, but this is a bit overwhelming, I can't respond to everyone.

Tying health care to employment instead of tying it to being a citizen was one of the hugest mistakes we ever made.

You can pay thousands of dollars extra for deductibles or copays, and spend hours arguing with people on the phone.

I have spent so much money on private insurance in the past. I lived in the UK and S.Korea in the past and loved that I just paid a tax out of every check and that was it. Insurance companies are such a rip off.
