In GA you can legally go to armslist.com and pick out any weapon you want. You can then legally meet the person selling that gun in a random parking lot to buy the gun. You don't have to provide your name or any information about yourself of any kind. Hell, you can legally wear a mask if you want. Neither of you needs to keep any record of the transaction of any kind. You can pay cash. If the cops ask who you sold the gun to, you can tell them you have no clue. This is all completely legal.
If you are a felon or some other prohibited person it is only illegal for someone to sell you a gun this way if they knew you were a prohibited person. But they don't have to so much as ask your first name or make you pinky-swear you are allowed to buy the gun. So you can imagine how easy it is for a criminal to get a gun this way. And how hopelessly impossible it is for Cops to try to police.

So you can get a gun the same day in Georgia, but if you want to get an abortion you have to wait 24 hours.
(And receive state-directed counseling that includes information designed to discourage you from having an abortion).
