Truth until you hit a salary (upper job position). Then they don’t give a fuck. Before Covid, my former employer actually encouraged smoking. We had some extreme crunch times.
Edit: Actually let me blow some of you guys minds who never worked in an office that doesn’t care. We had 2 fridges. 1 for food, 1 specifically for beers that got restocked every Friday. Mini wine rack and a liquor section on top of the beer fridge. At work. I could get hammered at work, as long as I got the shit done. Also had a designated smoke section on top of the roof. Chairs and tables provided.
I live in California where it's legal to buy and consume marijuana. But they still drug test you on some jobs for it, and I don't understand that logic.
So you mean to tell me it's completely legal and not a crime and regulated by dispensaries and doctors. But you're still going to deny me the job or fire me for having it in my system?
