Near where my parents live, a construction company had an old, out of use crane standing around and dozens of storks started to build nests on it. After some years the crane got unstable and couldn't stay there anymore. The owner, instead of getting rid of all the storks, removed (together with local animal welfare) the nests, build a new framework similar to the crane and moved all the nests back up. The storks loved it and are still there.
