Marjorie Taylor Greene temporarily locked out of Twitter as Democrats move to expel her from Congress

In a message on social media site Telegram, Marjorie Taylor Greene says she has been temporarily barred from posting on Twitter from her personal account.

A screenshot of an account alert says that Twitter has temporarily limited some of her account features, for violating the site’s rules, meaning that the Georgia representative cannot tweet, retweet, or like posts.

The ban lasts 12 hours and will be removed at around lunchtime on Friday. It does not appear to include Ms Greene’s congressional Twitter account.

A spokesperson for Ms Greene confirmed to The Gateway Pundit that the lawmaker is locked out of her Twitter account.

It is unclear what specific tweets led to the suspension.

The move comes as 72 House Democrats have co-sponsored Representative Jimmy Gomez’s resolution to expel Ms Greene from Congress, which he introduced to the house on Friday morning.

“I take no joy in introducing this resolution, but any member who cites political violence and threatens our lives must be expelled,” said Mr Gomez.

“I’m not saying this for shock value.”

The resolution would require a two-thirds majority of support from lawmakers in the House to remove Ms Greene from office.

It does not appear to have that level of backing. A spokesperson for Mr Gomes said: “Despite numerous efforts to reach out to House Republicans – and quite a few conversations – none of them were willing to publicly support the resolution at this time.”

This is not the first time Ms Green has been suspended from the social media platform. In January she was suspended for 12 hours for a tweet telling Trump supporters to “mobilize”.

A Twitter spokesperson at the time told NPR that Ms Greene had been temporarily locked out for “multiple violations of our civic integrity policy”.

Ms Greene has been pictured wearing face masks bearing the words “Free Speech” and “Censored” yet maintains a second Twitter account, and has a presence on Facebook, Gab, Telegram, and Parler.

The woman thinks Guam is a foreign country. She has no place making policy.

Good. The woman is a disgrace to everything our government should stand for. The fact she ran unopposed because her supporters ran her opposition out if town and destroyed his marriage should have disqualified her immediately. When she's out of Congress it won't be too soon.

Edit: for anyone wanting an article on the matter https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2020/10/17/kevin-van-ausdal-qanon-marjorie-greene-georgia/

The tl;dr is this: Ausdal decided to run against Greene after reading some of her more crazy conspiracies online. He approached his campaign with more levelheaded approach that focused on talking about the issues.

Greene being Greene went full stupid by making increasingly machositic and violent adds involving guns. Ausdal tried to maintain civility but it became more and more obvious Greene wasn't interested. She continued to post more and more inflammatory ads and posts eventually labeling Ausdal a far left marxist along the likes of AOC (a common Republican hate target). She even had an ad where she posed with a AR-15 along side pictures of AOC, Pelosi, and Omar. It included statements like how she was their worst enemy, and that the Republican party needed to go on the offensive.

When Greene made these targeted ads is when the death threats started coming. Mostly people commenting in Greene's own ads and posts. Things like "The only good Democrat is a dead Democrat" and "I bet if I put a gun to his face he'd start crying".

Ausdal was understandably disturbed by these comments which littered her posts and videos. It wasn't just one nutcase, it was hundreds/thousands all wishing harm on him and his family.

The stress caused his already unsteady marriage to fracture resulting in the wife asking for a divorce. He ended up having to move in with his parents and end his run for office.

FYI she had made at least a million in donations SINCE Jan 6th. As long as the grift is profitable for her she will never stop.
