There are a lot of people vested in pushing the notion that this was about sex workers rather than anti-Asian sentiment. Even if that were true, there are plenty of non-Asian sex workers in Atlanta and he specifically targeted Asians.
Hate crimes against Asians have exploded after the disgusting rhetoric we heard all of last year from the president and his team. But somehow this attack wasn’t “motivated by race”.
