As someone who is 10 years sober from herpin & is still going through medicated withdrawal therapy, I'm all fucking for this. The misconceptions & negative baggage that comes with methadone treatment needs to be changed. I'd be dead & my kids without a mom (not to mention, my 3 yr old never existing) if it weren't for methadone.
I think it’s important to recognize the difference between legalizing drugs and decriminalizing drugs. I don’t believe we should start selling heroine in stores, but I don’t believe using heroine is a reason to go to jail.

As an Oregonian who voted to decriminalize drugs, I have had to have to conversation so many times. If heroin was legal tommorow, would you try it?
