This is the first study examining THC in breastmilk and plasma among women who used marijuana during pregnancy since 1982.

Experts say the updated findings will be helpful in advising new mothers at a time when marijuana is more potent and more widely used.

“With the increasing utilization of marijuana in society as a whole, we are seeing more mothers who use marijuana during pregnancy,” said Children’s Colorado neonatologist Erica Wymore, MD, MPH.

Seven of these women were ultimately able to abstain from marijuana use for the duration of the study. »

Hong Kong (CNN) A bonsai thief has stolen seven tiny trees worth at least 13 million yen ($118,000) from a garden space in Saitama prefecture near Tokyo.

The loot included a rare 400-year-old shimpaku tree, a star of the bonsai world, which was due to be entered in a Japanese beauty competition this month.

(CNN) A Michigan man was recently exonerated of murder, a charge for which he spent nearly five years in prison.

Now, he's suing a rental car company for not providing records that, his lawyers say, would've exonerated him earlier.

Herbert Alford was wrongfully convicted of second-degree murder in 2016 and freed in 2020 after the Hertz Corporation provided a receipt that showed Alford was renting a car from the Lansing airport minutes before the murder took place. »
