Haven't been night fishing in a while, but last summer I was catfishing at night and the moon was bright enough that I could mostly see my pole if I was close to it so I didn't have my headlamp on, and there were some kids pretty close by probably doing a drug deal or something similar. As far as I know they had no idea I was there

Guess I'm not alone. On a serious note: going about at night looking for cool animals can get you in some weird situations.
