Like 10 years ago, I started putting money in escrow bc my landlord wouldn’t make repairs. In retaliation, he filed eviction for non payment of rent. He lost, but the eviction still shows up on my record. I had to get a letter from the court to prove it to future landlords. And some places won’t rent to you at all with an eviction on your record, even if it was thrown out. This is fucked up
I thought you couldn’t list anyone under age 18 on a lease. If that is the case, then how can you put names on an eviction notice that aren’t listed on the lease?
