Is a gaming laptop a good investment compared to a desktop no absolutely not, I don’t think anyone could argue that in terms of performance, value, etc the list goes on. That being said I’ve gamed on a laptop for the past 10 years. Why? Because I constantly move my laptop around my house and to other locations. I don’t have a dedicated area for a desktop to sit, when guests come over I flip it closed unplug it and it goes into a closet. Have a paid way more than I would have for a desktop and experienced more problems and replaced it more times than a desktop would absolutely, however I still would buy and game on one over a desktop for my personal convenience. For some people it’s not always about being completely cost effective.
