When I was 21, I had a gf that decided to "break up" with me because I moved from my podunk desert town to San Diego for a working summer vacation (small town problems and making some actual money)
Well, I said ok, stayed and worked 3 jobs for 10 months at ridiculous hours. Depression was weird for me.
When I did return to get some of my stuff from my mom's house I saw her and she told me her friend had convinced her to "break up" with me so that I, to prove my commitment, would drive the 225 miles back and beg her to come back. Never mind I was saving up so we could move in together.
