I heard about a retired professor who took a job working at a Summer resort on Lake Winnipesaukee. He spoke 5 languages. He was diagnosed with untreatable cancer of the brain and as his disease progressed he lost the ability to speak the languages in the order he learned them, eventually succumbing to his illness.
