In 1996, it was only raised by .50. We're try to double it now. Not that it's not worth the effort, it just might be a little harder.

That said, comparing the gop of 1996 to the gop of today is a freaking joke. I can’t even think of an analogy. They’re a freaking cult and you can’t negotiate with them. They would rather burn this entire country to the group than risk passing that wage increase and pissing off their fanatic supporters
