I understand people hate zoos, but most zoos have strict protocols. They have very high standards of taking care of their animal residents. But people fail to realize that most animals are either born in captivity or they was rescued. And I believe they are better protected in a zoo than in the wild. Besides it doesn’t make sense to release a polar bear into Antarctica while it grew up in San Diego.
Edit: Polar bears do not live in Antarctica. I’m an idiot.
