‘Formula 1: Drive to Survive’ Officially Renewed for Season 4 on Netflix

‘Formula 1: Drive to Survive‘ now officially and reportedly renewed for season 4 by Netflix. Before the season 3 release date, Netflix makes the first move and approval for the next season. According to Formula 1 reporters, who are shooting the Drive to Survive are once return at it which signals that the show will release for the fourth season in 2022.

There is a lot of documentary series on the streaming platform. But one of the sport series as we already know as the Formula 1 is so much popular on Netflix. The first season of the docu-series aired in 2018 with the Netflix team and Formula One working together for this documentary series. This Formula 1 documentary series also follows the exclusive behind-the-scenes at the drivers and races of the Formula One World Championships. After the first season’s success on the platform, they decided to continue this for the upcoming seasons. On today, F1 reporters said season 4 renewed and coming to 2022.

However, we already know Formula 1: Drive to Survive season 3 will be available on March 19th, 2021.

When is the release date of Formula 1: Drive to Survive season 4?

There’s no official release date yet. However, according to other seasons gap between 12-14 months. This means Drive to Survive season 4 will probably release March 2022 on Netflix.

We heard this news from Brazillian sports journalist Julianne Cerasoli’s Twitter account: “A little behind the scenes: Perez is giving an interview via Zoom and, behold, two professionals who work on the filming of Netflix are behind him … it seems that they are already starting the fourth season even before the third premieres!”

Also, the 2021 F1 season is due to go out on March 28th with the first race being in Bahrain. This was normally start of the season which traditionally takes place in Australia continent.

Here’s the official synopsis of the Drive to Survive:

“The dynamic series returns with another ten parts, following the high-stakes and adrenaline-fueled action of the fastest sport in the world. Only 20 drivers get to compete in Formula 1 and with some of the sport’s top names racing for new teams, 2019 proved to be a season of broken alliances and renewed rivalries. In season 2 for the first time, all 10 teams, including Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula 1 Team and Scuderia Ferrari, gave Netflix insider access as they battled it out for victory in the greatest racing series in the world.”
