We use these on our electrical vehicle charging stations when we ship them in the US, mostly for legal reasons, such as insurance claims against the transporters. Even though these things show the angle of tilting for this machine, it also can show if the driver was driving more roughly. If you take a corner faster than usual, you might not actually tilt the crate, but it can have the same effect as being tilted far enough for the ball to move. The danger with our machines can be the sheer weight of the unit. If tilted, it could weaken or bend the frame, or components inside might be damaged due to pressure from the tilting.
