TV producers know that if anyone ever says to do something on television, some nutcase out there will actually do it. Aa a result you have to be at least somewhat careful what you talk about.
So when an actual President of the United States gets on television (or Twitter) and says "do the thing," a lot of people are going to do the thing, pretty much regardless of what the thing is.
Unless it's, you know, "lose weight" or "stop polluting the atmosphere." Those are always dismissed as non-serious.
if President Biden stopped in an interview and said "I might be the ..... a friend told me the other day that I might be the most perfect person ever" I would question his competency.
If Biden had told me, before the election, that if he loses it's rigged, but if he wins it's not....I not only wouldn't have stormed the Capitol for him, I wouldn't have voted for him.
These people aren't just a few cards short of a deck, they're playing a different game entirely.
