The problem with the 3D models isn’t their quality, it’s the fact that Gamefreak does next to nothing to try and make them interesting. They pushed so hard to make the 2D sprites dynamic, but then they got to 3D and thought it’d just be enough for the models to stand there lifelessly.
Are y’all ready to have a badass encounter with the legendary being of time or space which towers over you in the cut scene, inspiring a sense of awe and sending chills down your spine?
...and then once you get into battle it stands about 2 inches taller than your Ambipom and does nothing other than breathe slowly for the better part of 10 minutes?

Me: worrying that the routes will be dumbed down hallways because Gamefreak doesn't know how to design proper routes without the grid system.
