My brother and I once caught a pufferfish in Australia. It puffed up and escaped the hook and bounced down the rocks in the most comical side-to-side kindof way, back into the ocean, and it made that sortof tinny, chambery sound that basketballs make with each bounce, and I feel like it's a memory that will be in my head on the day I die.

I had a green puffer in my aquarium as a kid, regularly fed him ghost shrimp, blood worms, and occasionally he ate all the legs of a fiddler crab. All while smiling. Always smiling.

I love pufferfish. I used to take care of some, they were so smart and so silly. Like...they chase laser pointers like dogs and cats do. And there was one big ol' porcupine fish who would watch me work from his tank. He'd like...swim up to the front of his tank and stare at me. If I walked past it, he would swim alongside me, and when he'd reach the wall of his tank, he'd just float there and keep staring at me stare. And then he'd follow me to the other side of his tank when I walked past him again.

He was probably was just hoping I'd give him some food, but I still found is super charming.
